Caution about dusting

To all members here at AG. Please protect yourself from breathing the dust of the detailing products we all use. I've listened to many of you talk about dusting especially from the polishes. The 3M company makes a great heavy duty particle mask that protects you from 95% air borne particles. Masks come in a box of 20 count and cost less than a dollar a piece. Please use something to protect yourself. Recently lost a friend to lung cancer who worked with bondo for many years with no protection. New and old members please take this serious.

I bought some of those cloth masks, but i never find myself needing to use them. Now that i have added opt polish to my menzerna there is little dusting. Thanks though, wise words.

Small abrasive particals in your lungs......:p Lets just say it not a good thing;)
 
I have a friend who never uses a mask, and he is constantly polishing with wool pads, and heavy compounds. I have yelled at him a few times. I dont get it. He wears a back brace, but no mask. Doesnt make any sense...

3M product #8210 Particulate Respirator (At least 95% filtration against solid and liquid aersols) At most stores about $16.95 for box of 20.
 
great idea. Youcan never have to much protection. i knowI have masks, I wear rubber gloves and often use ear protection.. after all we only get one of each so what not try to keep them in topworking order.

p.s sorry for your loss. i know what its like to loose a loved one to lung cancer.
