I made the mistake of washing my microfibers with two of my CCS Orange Pads. The micros were washed before. Anyways, now my orange pads are maroon in color, lesson learned. The microfibers must have bled a little in the washer and the foam picked it up. Is it still safe to use the foam pads for buffing? Thanks.

My green pads have turned purple from CG glaze. Still work great. Look like Barney

Lol, I just ran many white pads through the washer. I used tide detergent, now they are bluish!

They are ugly maroon/grey. Oh well, lesson learned. Odd thing is the one white pad I had in there barely absorbed any color.

Never ever wash pads in a washer. I tried it when I was a noob and it destroyed them. Washers are meant to clean cloth and fabric - not foam.

Pads need to be squeezed to get the old product out and the cleaner in, not violently spun back and forth. I wouldn't use detergent to clean pads either. LA Awesome works well for cleaning pads (just rinse it all out), and you can get it for $1.

I clean mine with pad cleaner, then delicate wash. Not a habit, just. an occasional extra cleaning

I turn the washer way down. Barely agitates them, super slow. I see your point none-the-less.

I have never washed mine in the washer by the way. They look like barney because of the CG glaze.

and... this......

I hand wash all mine last thing. If I've used a bunch during the day I'll have soaked them in Zippy Cleaner. If it's just a few I will put them in a bag to the side till the end of the day.

Either way I'll go to the mud sink afterwards and use a little pad cleaner, and if needed a little Dawn applied to my hand first then massaged into the pad(s). Then I rinse under as hot and high pressure water as I can stand by hand and rolled against the scrubber side of the sink with a hard plastic cup as a dough roller (sort of). Honestly, I hate to use a ton of them because of the way I wash them. One night I spent over 90 minutes (with a bathroom break in between) just washing and rinsing freaking pads. Because of that, I tend to stop during the day if say I'm doing a multi-step, and clean pads. ;)
