Now that CD2 Engine Detailer has been discontinued I need to find a new engine detailer. I really like how easy CD2 was to use and would like to find something comparable to it. Any suggestions?

I've been using one of the many all purpose cleaners that is diluted down to clean. Then apply some Sonus Trim & Motor Kote.
Not saying that it compatible to CD2 or the best product to detail an engine with. But it works for me. :xyxthumbs:

check your local big lots, they may still have some cd-2 cans left. the last time i saw them they were $4 each...

The best aerosol type product is under the 3D label that I have tried. You can even use it on the inside. How it dries so quick and non oily is beyond me. Not sure who makes it for them, but give the 3D version a try.

The best aerosol product I have tried is this stuff:

Meg's D4510. While it resemble CG's Fade to Black or whatever it's called - it's a lot better. It's great to dress complex engine plastics and areas that are hard to reach. It dries instantly and is pretty cheap as well - and I'm not a big Meg's fan.

If anyone wants any of the CD2 I have a about 30 cans of it send me a PM. I went to a surplus store the other day to get some tools & they had a shelf full of it so I grabbed all of it.

I agree with others. Check big lots or make a deal with me. Lol I bought a can, used it on one fender well and didn't like it at all. Seemed to attract dust like crazy and the foam isn't nearly as easy as an aerosol dressing.
