Congratulations Corey!

This is well deserved and a nice prize for all of your hard work.

Congratulations Dog!!!! From what I saw you deserved to win more than any of the other cars that did. I think the judges were freaking blind on this one.

well deserved, and well overdue! Congrats Corey! it's just a shame that the "judges" couldn't have made this happen at DF. It just goes to show that so called "pros" don't always know whats best. Its times like this when the masses on the forums were right in selecting Corey!! Awesome work buddy!!!

Regardless, props to you my friend! Keep up the great work!

OK time for me to chime in. If you don't already know I was one of two judges for the car show. I've never done that before. I wasn't told I was a judge until Saturday morning but thought we could have fun with it. The judging had to be done between classes usually with a small group of people trailing behind and I answering tons of questions and talking to all the new friends I made, running to the bathroom, etc... It was a super busy day. Maybe a few seconds was spent each car (if that).

Congrats to CEEDOG for your reward..

Thanks to Autogeek for stepping up and recognizing a vehicle that I clearly overlooked.

Thanks for chiming in Joe and I apologize on behalf of any and all rude comments made to you and Renny by some of our forum members.

I should have stepped in much sooner in the other threads where comments were not in keeping with our forum rules but my job here is not really to enforce the rules. That said, we have forum rules that state you cannot bash people on this forum and we'll try do do a better job of enforcing them in the future.

Here they are for those that need a reminder...

Forum Rules

1. No personal attacks toward members or non-members will be tolerated.

3. You are welcome to disagree but you must be polite.

4. No bashing any company or their products. No bashing other people. If you can't say anything nice about someone, then don't say anything at all, this also includes talking to others in a demeaning manner.

And I would also like to thank Joe and Renny for being our Judges, this responsibility was given to them last minute and in case YOU have never been a judge for ANYTHING before, it's usually a thankless job because as shown by the comments by a few on this forum... no matter what you do... you cannot make everyone happy...

So THANK YOU Joe and Renny for being our Judges and in context you both did GREAT jobs!

WOW, truly awesome Corey!! You are so very deserving of this award! I am glad all of your hard work and extreme efforts have been recognized. You have always gone out of your way to help anyone and everyone. The OCD in which you are blessed with really shows in every aspect that you share with the detailing community. You excel in every way possible, I am very lucky to have you as such a great friend and resource! I echo the same sediments already expressed MANY times; there truly is no paint, interior, exterior, door jambs, engine bay, tires/wheels/wells, undercarriage, etc, etc, …etc more perfect than that of Skybaby. She is very lucky to have you as her owner!!!

BTW: Thanks Autogeek staff for recognizing Corey and all of the outstanding contributions he makes to the detailing community:props:

Im the MANCongratulations Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!Im the MAN

Congrats Corey, definately well deserved and was a long time coming.

Definately the most liked and well known forum member universally. I really dont think anyone contributes more time to "us" than you do my friend, with all the great reviews and research you do by calling the manufacturers.

So, thank you and congrats!

Corey, congratulations! Now get on out to the garage and give skybaby a celebratory coat of wax :buffing:

Congrats Corey! You should have received this at Detail Fest buddy!

I like the employees of Palm Beach Motoring Accessories and have no issues with them. Someone from the outside just needs to say enough is enough. And by the way, I attempted to Google this but Google didn't have time for me.

To me it sounds like someone is having a hard time admitting they were wrong. None of the posts I have read up to this point sound rude, sound like they are attacking anyone, or being too harsh. It just sounds like a lot of people know the obvious, Skybaby was the best looking car in attendance. I spoke to several people who are just enthusiasts and even several that detail for a living and they all came to the same agreement. I may not provide as much assistance to the forum as Corey, or a lot of the other pro's so I may not be viewed as an asset. So if this post contains too much truth that it may offend someone, then by all means please remove it and remove me as a member of the community.

God bless us all.

Richard

Congrats Corey. :applause:

You have a beautiful car and from everything I've read and heard about you says you are a class act.

You realize excuses are an admission of screwing up. Why can't you just admit fault instead of making excuses. It is in very poor taste when making excuses for a fault. If you were so "busy" then the RIGHT thing to do would have declined being a judge.

Yeah because either of those were personal attacks.....
Just because you say something that people don't agree with doesn't make it an attack. just because you say the truth doesn't make it an attack.

Congrats Corey!! It couldn't go to a better person and car combo!!!

LMAO! read #4, "demeaning."

Congrats Corey. I always enjoy reading your reviews and I appreciate seeing how willing you are to help out when asked. Very well deserving!

Going to close this thread, I slipped out to Barrett Jackson for the morning not thinking I would come back to this. Point is Corey received his trophy, I think bashing anyone about the judging is unfair. Let's remember it's just car care here! I love Corey and the Sky as does everyone else, so thank you Corey for being at the show and thank you to everyone that donated their time to making the show a great success!
