Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Pain Sealant - YouTube

I applied this to one of our neglected cars. The only prep involved was using Feynlab Pure Wash, which did a great job stripping any existing protection as well as dirt off the surface. I applied the Cerakote and hit it with water an hour later just to see how it would do (cure time is 2 hours per instructions). It beaded very well for only curing for an hour. It's one of a thousand similar products. Curious how long it lasts.

The way the sprayer atomizes the product, I didn't end up using much. You could do a few cars I feel with 8oz.

Don't pour muscle milk on it......:D

Muscle mik? The protein shake?...i'm lost lol

Nice beading for sure.

Doesn’t look any better than Griots ceramic3-1. Not a knock as the 3-1 is a nice product and definitely a better value.

A "YouTuber" did a test of the product and poured Muscle Milk on it and the coating was gone!

Having used both products, Cerakote provides much more slickness and shine and is 50% easier to apply/remove..
As far as durability goes......not sure yet.

Value.....toss up as you don't need much of the Cerakote...little goes a long way

Slickness not a biggie for me but shine is a plus.

I didn’t have issue at all applying/removing. I did dampen the applicator before applying though and don’t remember removal being tough but only used a couple of times.

I was referring just to water shedding. Looked to be similar. Good but not amazing.

I doubt I’ll try this but am a Cerakote fan. Trim coating was great and few bits I have for fire arms coated from them seem nice.

May have a few parts done for the chevelle as well.

Amazing the amount of different coating products they make.

Griots is a hit or miss vehicle to vehicle in the ones I have done....20 + cars/SUV's with 3 in 1 spray
Some were a snap....super easy.
I had a few that like you mentioned.... a damp applicator as well as a damp "first" towel for removal was a must or streaks were horrible .

To me actually- that isn't anything special, as everything that I use repeals water just like that.
The key however that would separate it from others would be longevity-- as you have stated.
Keep us informed please!!

I bought it for a topper to begin with...I doubt it holds up for more than 3 months....
