On the surface from watching a couple of vids. from Wilson and Apex, I am impressed that this trim restorer will last quite a while - they say 200 washes. I don`t have anything in my collection that will last through a few washes, let alone more than 100. This would save anyone time having to re-dress/recoat black trim.

I get 3-4 months from Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS), and the same from McKee's Plastic Trim Restore.

(I still swear they are the same product in different packaging).

Either way, they both last all winter here in NY for me, and I have no problem spending about an hour 3 or 4 times a year on my plastic trim.

I’ve never used Cerakote but have seen plenty of videos. It seems to leave a very shiny black finish. Not really what I like.

I am also a big fan of WETS and McKee’s 37 Trim Restorer (I bet they’re the same exact product as well).

Oh, and if you’re speaking about textured black trim then a coating is better than a sealant. I use CarPro Dlux on all my textured black trim and save the other 2 I spoke about for the rubber trim around windows.
