Ceramic coating a new set of billet aluminum wheels

Personally I would just leave it.Just apply hydro 2 or a quality sealant.

Some custom billet Al wheels
are clearcoated; are these?

Not clear coated just want something to help with the maintenance to avoid water stains ect

Clay wheels then apply CarPro DLux. Should last 1 year. Soap and water clean up.

Wheels are new in box do I still need to clay, also I was worried about and finish changes due to the ceramic

Dlux will dry clear. Before using any coating or sealant, be sure to wipe down the wheel with IPA and avoid touching the wheel with your bare hands (gloves). Although Blackfire Metal Sealant will not last as long as Dlux, I prefer the ease of application with Blackfire. BTW nice wheels. I've always said that shoes are what makes or brakes the look of a car.

Gtechniq C5 wheel armour is another good one. Goes on clear so it won't alter the appearance. It will slow down the oxidation build up that happens to bare metal.

Wolfgang metal sealant is another option. Easy to apply.

To keep that mirror-polished finish...
I would look into having them
"clear anodized".

{Other sealing/Coating products may
diminish the shine on billet aluminum.}
