When using CG Black Light, is it your final step or do you add something on a top of it?
Coating or sealant.
Or can you put coating or sealant under the black light?
Feed back please

The V7 is a common product to apply ontop of BL.

I have been topping it with Pete's 53. Gives a nice shine.

I top it off with Blackfire wet diamond sealant. I give it a full day in between applications though. I once topped everything off with DoDo Juice Orange Crush and the car was so shiny you couldn't look at it!

I top with Blackfire Wet Diamond as well. Maintain with V7.

I usualy top with a paste wax, Poorboys Natty's, DODO Juice, or Midnight Sun. IN the winter I top with Collinite 845. All look great overtop of Blacklight. According to the Chemical Guys web-site Blacklight can be used as a AIO. I normally top it though. Backight is one of my favorite products that I use on most details. It is very easy to apply and always looks great and leaves a smooth finish.

A coating isn't good to put on top of anything except bare, clean, oil free paint.

I use to use CG Blackight topped with CG Black wax. V7 spray after washes. By the way, Blacklight is a sealant with some fillers. Pete's 53 is also great over the top...

And I guess if I put coating first it wont have same wet look effect?

Depending on the coating on more importantly the polishing prep, it could look very wet with just the coating.

My challenger just got a full correction and I spent the time to polish it to the best shine it's ever had. Added the black label surface coating to it and it took it up a notch or two on the shine factor.

I'm very pleased with the looks thus far. Durability of the coating can't be commented on, as it's still too new to judge.

Thanks for all replies...i will test it out....just placed an order....have black car coming in...3 step correction

Blacklight is indeed in my detailers hall of fame. Its A versatile product, incredibly easy to use, and when topped with a wax it's something to behold.
