Hi guys I'm new to the detailing world and need some help with Cg blacklight and whitelight.I happen to live less then a mile from the chemical guys showroom so I bought a few of there products and I am ready to detail my new 4Runner with whitelight and my wife's black discovery with blacklight but I'm concern with the abrasive that some people say that this two product contain will I cause any damage to my clear coat if I use this two products with a black finishing pad every 3 month and top it off with collinite 845.

I would return the "white light". BL will work fine for white. They don't have strong abrasives and I doubt you could do any damage with a black pad.

I don't think there is cause for concern.
Are you applying by hand or machine?

Thanks for the fast response I will be applying with rupes 15.

Like already mentioned, the "cut" in those glazes is nothing to worry about....especially on a black pad.... Just keep the speed low like 2 or 3 and you'll be fine

I just did blacklight on a customer's car this wknd and it turned out great

Also agree with returning the whitelight. As for the cutting abrasive, it's extremely light. As for doing it every 3 months, that's a bit excessive especially when topped off with collinite. I live in Socal as well (Torrance to be specific) and maintaining the paint is fairly easy with our winters.

Thank you usmcpab I will be returning the whitelight, so how often do you recommend for me to do it I also wash my cars every week.

In my experience, glazes don't last long...a month or so AND the CG glazes don't play well with other product lines. I've used EZ creme, Glosswurks, mirror finish. If you're using a CG glaze, I'd recommend using one of their sealants as well.

If you are really married to CG products, try the V4. Its more like a cleaning sealant. It has abrasives, but not that strong especially if you used white pad.

I do have Jetseal 109 as well but I wanted to try collinite 845 for its durability.

I've read the same thing. Their products work well with each other, even though they have like a million different products.

Curious about the CG Glazes not working with other brand sealents.

Planning on topping Black Light with Wolfgang DPGS.

What type of issues have people had?

I'm sure I could work some Jetseal into rotation if needed.

There have been a lot of people report that the sealant doesn't last as long. I don't it's unique to CG...many companies products work well together b/c they're formulated that way
