Since it's been so cold outside, I've done almost nothing detail related. So I received one of these from my father the other day and decided today was the day to use it

Nothing special. Yellow bristles are pretty firm. Good to use on carpet.

So I decided to test it out on my fiances floor mats which were terribly cruddy.

So I went to work using Meguiars APC at 10:1. The brush was easy to manage and scrubbed the mats pretty well

I used my Rigid 16gal shop vac with an extraction head on it to suck out the dirty water.

So after extraction, I used some hot water another bottle to wet the carpets again and extract. The results were pretty good IMO

This brush retails for 11 bucks. I would strongly suggest it to anyone. This was my first write up so I hope it is sufficient. The only con is make sure you have a backup battery pack for your drill or a hand brush for the Murphy's law stuff.

Do you think it does a better job than by hand, also will the brush hold up for the long haul.:buffing:

It scrubbed really well and does a much better job than if you were to do it by hand in a fraction of the time. I did those 4 carpets from start to finish in about 15 minutes and I was taking my sweet ol time. The brush is put together very well the black plastic is extremely hard and the bristles are in there in regards to the holes they are set in. As I said, I would recommend the brush. I'm going to get one of their softer ones to use on leather at a very low setting On The drill

The third pic is of the agitation. It brought a ton of dirt to the top took maybe 20 seconds for two full passes over the whole carpet

I have the same brush, sure makes cleaning floor mats easier.
Really holds up too.

I concur. As I said. The rotation on the brush really kicked the dirt up to the top

Soft bristle brush for leather will be here tomorrow. I overnighted it just because I was so pleased with the result of the medium bristle

How does this compare to the brushes you attach to a DA?

I can't answer that as I don't own an attachable version for my DA. I would guess the drill being forced rotation allows you to put some heavy pressure on it. However that's just a guess. I was going to get one for my GG6 but I was given this brush for free!

Are you just using a cordless drill for the one you have?

I ordered some of the cyclo brushes to use with my DA, however they don't want to spin at all. I am guessing they just can't be used with the Harbor Freight DA? Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm using my brush with my cordless drill. Craftsman Li Ion drill and Dewalt. It's definitely a great alternative to the DA brushes. I believe a corded drill would make this thing work a ton better than it does already

I also really like the CG Drill Brush - works great on carpets and, per a suggestion on this forum, it also works great on tires!

I used it to prep my tires for Tuf Shine, and it really made a big difference (inital with the supplied hand brush didn't yield very good results).

I use cyclo brushes with both my 3" and 6" Griots DAs. They work very well. Maybe you are putting to much pressure?

I was putting little to no pressure at all on it? I don't know what the deal is. I am looking forward to using these though, just need to get them to work. I am probably going to be ordering a GG 3" here soon anyways so I guess I can use it on that for interior stuff.

Weird, I've read that Harbor Freights DA is pretty good compared to their normal reputation items

I made one of these a while back out of a kitchen/dish brush from dollar tree and a 1/4'' nut and bolt I had laying around. I abused the heck out of it, full speed on a few large trucks with massive tires- retired that one after about 3 or 4 uses on those dirty tires. Still, dollar well spent. I made another recently and used it on carpet and seemed to work well.

Now, I'm not saying it's a replacement of the CG one by any means, but is there any way you can describe the stiffness of those bristles? Just curious how close I was with it. I also have the megs DA power system and was thinking I could use that to power these brushes. I am all about saving a buck, or ten.

I have the DA version I use on my HF DA and the drill version for my cordless. Both work very well and the bristles show no sign of wearing out so far. I 've used them to clean 2 sets of car mats and done the shower a few times. :xyxthumbs:

So glad I saw this review. I ordered this same attachment as well t do mats and floors as I do not have an extractor yet. I was previously using a handheld brush, carpet cleaner, and rinsing with hot water.

I bought this Chemical Guys Brush that I now use with my drill.
Everytime I clean floor mats I now use this brush, here to tell you it gives you a deep clean and soooooo easy compared to doing by hand.

Works good on very dirty tires as well.
It's worth owning one IMO
