Greenworks from LOWES 99.99$ w/ changable nozzles for different cleaning jobs

With a quick disconnect on foam cannon

wow, really? Ive seen the greenworks, but wasnt sure about the quality. I figured at $99, it would fall apart on the way out of the box.

I bought a lightly used 2600psi Husky power washer from a friend for $75. Search around. I wouldn't look to buy something decent, look for something that will LAST!

well... idk... i know the karcher is good quaility... but their washer is almost as expensive as a gas powered....

Greenwork is the cheapest one and pretty well built that i can find lOCALLY from lowes

I once had a Husky electric pressure washer that only lasted 1 summer. The next one I got was a Karcher electric one. It costs a lot more, but so far its been great. It also depends on the type of motor.

I just bought a Karcher K 2.360 at Walmart for $140.00. A couple of things. The gas ones are a lot louder and may require more maintenance. I couldn't have that, as it would bother my neighbors. The thing is, electric pressure washers put out high (more than enough) pressure, but a lower volume of water than a hose. My Karcher will almost rip the skin off your fingers if you put your hand in front of it with the high pressure nozzle. This is more than enough pressure for cleaning dirt off cars, but IMHO is not as good as a hose for rinsing soap off cars, because there you want more volume of water than pressure. Another thing to keep in mind is Karcher K series (all consumer electrics) will require a special bayonet adapter to use any aftermarket foam guns. AG supplies this adapter with their foam lance, but if you want to get a foamer some other place (or another non Karcher attachment - like a G Foam Gun) you will need this adapter. Some have found it at Home Depot as part of a kit, but my HD doesn't have it (and I could not find it on there website). I ordered this adapter from AG(plan on using it with a G Foamer when it arrives), and it's $15.00. If I had to do it over again, it think I would purchase one that came with some type of foam gun (like the green one at Lowes, as that type of foamer is more than enough for my own 2 cars). Karcher also sells a foamer(doesn't make tons of foam) and has a pressure washer kit that comes with a foamer, but you will likely have to get both online. I feel so far that the quality of Karcher is OK, however, everything on it is plastic. I've only used mine once so far,it worked great. It has (most of them do) a tank to add car wash, which makes a soapy spray at low pressure usage. The one thing that is nice about Karcher is that it come with an adjustable lance where you can change the pressure by twisting the tip. From what I've seen, comparable models come with either no pressure adjustment, or 1 or 2 tips to change the pressure. This makes changing the pressure easy on the Karcher. Also, and this is a big plus to me, Karcher conser models come with a year warranty, where if it breaks, you just cut off cord and serial number tag and mail it to them and they will replace it. So, if it breaks, this should come in handy. Just a few things I considered.

Home depot has a decent one for $ 100. It is nothing great, but it works ok for my occasional use.

I use the Karcher X series pressure washer for mobile detail and it has been a great machine so far. Use it about 5 days a week. If you want a foam cannon you will need the adapter as noted above. I have had bad luck with cheaper Karcher models, some didn't even last a month but I think they solved most of the problems with their X series pressure washers. They do have plastic fittings, but they are ok just don't yank on the hose.

I just bought a Karcher K5.740 electric. I've only used for a few minutes, so I can't provide detailed feedback. That said, I'm already happy with it.

One huge advantage over gas PW's is noise. While running the noise is much lower than a gas model. It gets even better (much better) when you release the trigger. With a gas model, they still make a racket. With my Karcher, there is NO noise after releasing the trigger.

Regards,

Dan.

I had a husky that I used several times just fine. It was the cheapest electric at HD.

I HATE IT though because the part where it plugs into the washer in the back always popped out for some reason. Its like a quick disconnect or something if the hose gets pulled at an angle, it pops out and stops the flow of water. It would pop out just from turning the hose on when it flexes a little.

I dont use it anymore.

You use an electric PW for mobile detailing? Where do you plug it in? You have a generator?

ok, is the general consensus that there isnt really a decent power washer anywhere near $100? Im almost considering getting that greenworks one from lowes.

Yup, I have detailed for 7 years and the customers have no problem letting me use their power. I do however provide my own filtered water. I have over 150 feet of 12 gauge cords just in case but I am usually in a residential zone detailing. I am actually shelling out about 2k on a commercial gas washer because other pressure washer jobs opened up so I am retiring my Karcher and using it for a spare just in case the gas one goes out when I am detailing.

If you are a Costco member you can try one of their pressure washers. From what I have heard and read here on the forums you can return it when it breaks as long as you save the box.

I saw that PW at HD in person. It really looked like a well built unit from
external appearances. And if I remember correctly, the spray hose wraps around a wheel for storage and it had 2 soap tanks. It really looked like a nice electric pressure washer in that price range to me.

I bought the Karcher K series from Home Depot after reading about the reviews so I hope it was a good choice. Its on its way to me so time will tell.

I have a Lowes brand which was Task Force and it lasted maybe a year just washing the bird bath and a car wash or 2. It had very little use and just died so I didnt want another store branded one.

I picked up the 1700 psi 1.4 gpm Greenworks electric pressure washer from Lowes last weekend. Used it twice and really like it. Also picked up the foam attachment from Home Depot mentioned on another thread. Works great. Hopefull the washer will last for a while, we shall see.

I just bought this off Amazon... AR Blue Clean AR118 so far I am really happy with it, not as much power as my Troy Built, but that's not why I bought it. had enough power to get baked on brake dust off my wheels, should work even better once the Sonax gets here. For really tough job I wouldn't get this, but if you don't have much room to store stuff which was why I bought this. The power cord is actually 25', not 10' which is fine, it just takes up more room than the picture shows, and the hose connector is different than in the picture but better, so not a big deal.
