Normally I'd use BFWD as a sealant, but I have a bottle of Jetseal 109 waiting to be used. The surface will be prepped properly before applying either one. Reflections aren't a great concern since this will be going on a daily driver so the main point I'm looking for is durability.

What would be better protection wise for a car that's driven daily and rarely sees a covered parking structure?

I like jet seal 109 will last a long time one area at a time is best know need to let dry.

CG recommends two coats of Jetseal ( as per bottle ). It is by far the easiest sealant to wipe off. As far as durability goes, BFWD wins. The polycharger that's already mixed in helps in it's longevity. Now I have the polycharger kit, so now I wonder how the Jetseal would be if I Polycharged it? Hmm. But back to your question. I'd stick with the BFWD. Only need one coat and lasts longer than two coats of Jetseal.

I love Jet Seal 109. I like to touch it up with Hybrid V07 spray sealant. It has worked wonders for me with winter detailing.

Good question, I have plenty of jet seal it's not bad but since I started using collinite 845 I really have not use 109:buffing:

When would the second coat of Jetseal 109 be applied? The flash time for the first coat is 20 minutes and it fully cures in 12 hours

After buffing off first coat, wait 30 minutes then apply second coat. Personally, you're better off with BF

The bottle says apply second coat 15-20 minutes after removing first coat to ensure proper coverage. It's super easy on and off, and I have five 16oz bottles of it. But I feel the longer lasting sealant between these two is BFWD.

I like both as well, kinda hard to choose because i am a huge fan of CG and BF. However..whenever i do a clients car, i always go with BFWD for some reason...

I haven't used either, but from what I've read extensively all over the net and confirmed in The Biggest Sealant Test Ever The Biggest Sealant Test ever! - Detailing World is that while BlackFire is highly regarded(but also an older and more well known product and therefore has more fans) it has very poor durability(I have read many comments claiming this also on AG). Something is not gelling with my research and the comments on this thread. One has to be wrong BFWD may still have the better gloss(only one pertinent comment in this thread) but I highly doubt it has the longevity seeing as more people are in the other camp. This thread seems tainted and of little use at this point most probably ruined by fanboys.

I would like to get BFWD(160) and will soon but I'm probably going to go Modesta BC-05(205) first or Pomponazzi 880-XX(190 with Balsoo) then I can look down the road at BFWD. Right now I'm acquiring cleaners and other equipment lining me up for these heavyweights. I doubt I will ever go for JetSeal(250 or less still too much) as the gallon is ridiculously priced which is what I really want but I can get MSeal somewhat cheap, and if looking at M-Seal(55) then this thread becomes pertinent if Jet and M are somewhat equal as they both lasted 4 months in the durability test. I think 160 for a gallon of sealant(Menzerna is similar) is about as high as I'll go and thats only if its the best gloss regardless of longevity tho if JetSeal(I had no idea it was in league with Klasse until reading the above thread whatever happened to Polycharger H2O? Last time I studied all this was 6 years ago(nowhere near the depth as this time nor the reason to also been studying many other markets so I'm probably one of the few that doesnt encounter information overload, but I would say this market is medium to high in information)) really does last a year it may be more economical, but it comes down to the shine. I don't think durability is the reason people would look at this thread, but that's all the fanboys want to comment on.... covering up the obvious weaknesses.

Not to bring up an old CG/Black thread. I think either one mention product is fine mainly because most guys here at AGO wouldn't leaves their car unattended for weeks or months.
So any product in the market should work fine.
Ease of application , product scent, branding and label comes into play...
choose your poison :D

It was my understanding that M seal protects for 6 months and Jet seal protects for 12 months.

The problem is the word "protects" has no clear expectation. Many products are still present well after the most desirable qualities (ease of cleaning, slickness, gloss, etc) have dropped significantly. Therefore you have to rely on the imperfect user reports rather than manufacturer comments.

I understand what your saying so in your opinion how long do you think a product like M Seal will retain its full effectiveness before having to re-apply?

I was unaware that PBMG(understanding scope of this site more now(and deal potential :D).... this is a quite extensive team here.... TY) had a few coatings..... Sorry, not trying to sound disrespectful, but I find this forum extremely accurate and the postings tend to have more than one line unlike some others(I can tell TLDNR my brane mussels hurt does not apply here)....... I just thought this thread lacked a little accuracy(and after so many good threads the mind revolted a little.. maybe an over reaction...I realize even against a decent researcher you guys are so many steps ahead in the game and I see this at every step). On JetSeal the price is too high 280 and it is also not a glossy finish, but the question is does it gloss out with a subsequent layer like blacklight and thats why he puts blacklight ontop of jetseal in the winterizing product video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EktuMIQ_xEY and if you compare the over hood shot in this video after jetseal application and same shot in the 6th video after application of that wax(no same shot in the blacklight application) you can see that jetseal is actually quite hazy. So I'm thinking since they both pass 4 months Ultimate Sealant Test hurdle and all the playing I'm going to be doing with products for the next few years.... How long is it going to be before I carry out a protection layer destruction operation before testing out new toys? Probably not 4 months.

Then it comes down to price 280 vs 80(200 vs 48). Tho I have seen shots with Jet Seal layering looking better I just cant accept the price on it. Besides as far as longer than 4 month sealants go I think M-Seal is the cheapest one by the gallon(Powerlock, Wolfgang, Klasse ... top notch 4 monthers) which could be used in sacrificial experiments in the future if nothing else giving me some time to tweak my surface game until coating time and then going blackfire wet diamond which looks like a 400 dollar investment(all together) and I still havent factored in PNB and PBL(really havent looked at the lines in detail yet been researching for 6 months and yet to make a major purchase the game keeps deepening and studying cross products and microfiber(you guys did your homework here too) and the deal sense kicking in got a few ideas I might post to forum in coming months(because I don't want the prices disturbed before I spring on it :D)... I haven't even looked at wax yet other than the ones that are mentioned the most). Sorry if this post is runon I'm a little tired and sloppy and I have a huge monitor so I don't know how my posts look on smaller screens.... About to get started, feel like kid in candy store, gonna hit some CG soaps and your microfiber(rejected CG microfiber except woolly mammoth but honestly I should probably reject that too.. but I'm probably gonna keep it, you got pads and backing plates cornered as well as clay) to get started but after that I think all my purchases are coming this way.

I was making a general statement. I have not used either. There a lot of claims to durability since it is not usually a binary evaluation so other user input and habits (garaged, location, etc) can provide guidance on what to expect.
