I mean "recommendations". Can't edit title.

So, CGs is on sale. I've tried a fair amount of their products. I thought I'd list what I thought were very good:

1. Citrus Wash n Gloss Soap: Great soap. Highly foaming and concentrated. You REALLY only need 1 ounce for 5 gallons. Something to keep in mind: the soap will separate in the bottle, so if you get a gallon - it can be some work to shake that gallon very well each time you use it.

2. Honeydew Snow Foam: Best high foaming soap in a foam gun, period. If you want the most foam - this is it. Smells amazingly like honeydew.

3. Speed Wipe: Very good QD. Pretty slick. Nice to work with.

4. Leather Serum: I like to use this on top of a leather coating. It leaves the seats super smooth, making them so easy to slide in and out of. However, it's not greasy. Smells like leather to me - not fake leather. Doesn't seem to last very long to me, although they sell it as a coating. Seems more like a traditional product.

5. Citrus Wash Red: Great shampoo to use prior to paint correction, a filthy car, or a major detail. I find it removes carnauba only waxes (1oz/gallon), but not sealants. It will be super foamy and slick at 1oz per gallon. Likely has some d-limonene in it.

6. Luber: Great Clay lube if your into that. Smells great (cinnamon ?) and is very slick. I just use ONR now.

7. Pete's 53: Nice wax. Especially for $35. Beaded pretty tight for me. Easy on and off.

8. Sticky Wheel Cleaner: Best deal going for surfactant wheel cleaners. If your wheels are coated or well maintained, you should be using this. Blows the doors off of "car wash soap"' and is super cheap when you get a gallon (dilutes 1 : 4 or 5). Works great with a foaming sprayer.

Thanks.

I can add the Wash & wax product as a very great deal. It costs only $4.99 each 16oz, and is super concentrated (1 capful to 4-5 gallons). If you have a coupon, it's almost 'for free'.

This is my go to maintenance wash, very slick and gives a good shine.

Hope to post a review about it's features, but without that much time, I can advance how I use it to give some ideas.

- Foam-rinse the entire car (using foam cannon, wide jet, tilted horizontally on the lowest setting).

- Rinse with pressure water.

- Fill the bucket with the foam cannon (lowest setting, point the cannon downwards towards the bucket and fill). Suds are amazing.

- Wash conventionally 2 bucket method.

- Rinse.

- Dry with 1 waffle towel + a small 'spray' of spray wax.

There we go, amazing product, you cannot go wrong with 4.99$ (plus discounts).

Kind Regards.

Have you tried Bare Bones? I hear its good and was thinking about picking some up.

Yeah its a greasy *ss dressing. I don't use dressings in wheels wells and such because they just attract dirt and next time your stuck scrubbing off brown gunk.

I guess if you use dressings there it's fine. Smells good. I use Permanon or just leave them factory clean.

For thw price it's hard to beat out their Super VRP
You can dilute it 50/50 without losing anything.
So it's like getting two bottles for the price of one.
Long lasting on my tires and it's water based.

Thanks for the input. Just don't like how my trucks wheel wells look all chalky when clean. I'll look into Permanon and VRP as well.

You said this: "Speed Wipe: Very good QD. Pretty slick. Nice to work with".

Do you dilute this QD (they say it can be diluted 3:1) or do you use it straight?

I was wondering the same thing. I have been using Adams but looking for an alternative.

I switched from Adams Undercarriage Spray to CG Bare Bones simply for the price difference. CG works just as well but I do miss that purple koolaid smell ;)

i've used glossworkz shampoo for some time now and it's pretty good stuff. really leaves an amazing shine after but it's not heavy on the cleaning side. another recommendation would be synthetic quick detailer. it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Metal shine and protection is really amazing. it really does protect your exhaust tips because after at least 600 miles of driving the tips would bead up like crazy and the inside of the tip where i would clean would still be relatively clean compared to further in where it was all black.

Oh, their EZ Cream Glaze is very, very good.
It's a great quick way to give your car a super nice shine without worrying about wax build up.
Smells like grape pop.
It's one of my favorite products they sell.
A must try:)
If you buy it and don't care for it I'll buy it and pay shipping.
It's that good!

I also recommend the Wash and Gloss along with the V.R.P. Dressing. Both good buys for the money!

HateSwirls are you sure your not thinking of Blacklight. That is what has the grape smell to it, unless EZ Creme does also. I have EZ Creme but have not yet used it. I have been happy with all the CG products I have used so far.

Never used Black light.
However the EZ glaze smells just like a grape pop.
Smells too good. Lol
So I'm guessing both have the same scent?

I've used All clean+ and luber so far and I would recommend both. I have barebones and lightning yet to be used but I haven't been let down by them yet. Even though CG gets a bad rap around here, as long as their products that I use from them meet or exceed my expectations I'm happy

I think BL is supposed to smell like black cherry. At least that is the smell I get out of it.
