So I just picked up this glaze to try out. I bought this to use thinking it would enhance the wet look of my car like a glaze. Come to find out it's loaded with acrylic. So now I'm thinking it's nothing but relabeled klasse all in one. There was nothing in the description anywhere that said anything about acrylic.

Anyone use this stuff. Why does Chemical Guys beat around the bush on all their products. I'm done with them...

You came to all those conclusions without even trying it? From what I know, there are two kinds of glazes, the oily, clay-ey ones (like Meg's #7), and acrylic ones like Poorboy's Black Hole and White Diamond, the defunct Wet Glaze 2.0, and one or two from Chemical Guys.

I stop using their products awhile ago they really over hype their stuff as well as many other product lines. At the end of the day there are better products to be had and I am willing to pay a little money for them.

LOL does the black hole use acrylic too? I was thinking that my finishing wax won't bond to the acrylic too good, in my opinion a glaze shouldn't contain anything that's going to interfere with the finishing wax bonding

Well, from the Poorboy's Black Hole description here in the AG store: "Use glaze before applying your favorite wax or sealant."

As far as wax not bonding "to the acrylic too good", "The Perfect Shine" from the old Autopia store days was Klasse (which is said to be acrylic) topped by P21S wax...so I personally don't think you'll have any problems topping your new glaze with anything.

the customer service is terrible, I ordered something to Mondaysay ago and it just shipped yesterday won't be here until next tuesday. I had to email them 4 times and call once to get a response. When I order from here I have it in 3 days

Only thing from CGs I buy is the soap, everything else is such a waste of money. This pops up at least twice a week, they're really good at marketing but the products fall short.

I remember those days well....lets bring back the P21S/S100 war threads !!!

The few times Ive used a glaze, I could see no difference in the gloss or shine. Maybe more effective on paint in not so good condition to make it look temporarily better, but seemingly not effective on polished finishes.

Trust me..That argument was never settled !!!

LOL, ok Pat. When I got there it was the middle of the NXT wars--does it have cleaners or not!! Are they cleaners or fillers?!?!? How come NXT doesn't seem to last as long as Lab Sample 47 (or whatever it was)? Was it because Lab Sample 47 was a pure sealant but NXT isn't because it has cleaners/fillers?

Why not just order from here then?

It's been my understanding that using any glaze shortens the life of whatever you put on top of it? :dunno: I've mostly seen glazes used when preserving what's left of the clear is more important than absolute correction. Asking for the sake of enlightenment, not trying to sound like a know-it-all. I've only used a glaze a couple times trying to limp really hammered black along.

2 wet look

Just an FYI regardless what anyone says here about Chemical Guys whether it be good or bad....I no longer even bother using ANY of their products as I have not had too many good experiences with their products....from 1st hand experience. IMO, AGO sells so many more brands that are SUPERIOR to anything that Chemical Guys sells.

If you want a great Glaze Mequiar's and Poorboys have a great glaze.

What other products did you have issues with?

I have both I used the miguiars all the time they say it doesn't last on clear coats. U think the black hole is better then chemical guys?

There are several glazes which are designed to be topped. I've put 845 over Black Hole and Prima Amigo and saw no difference in durability of the sealant than a clean surface without a glaze. I believe the Blackfire glaze product, which is similar in description to Amigo, is also acrylic based and designed to be topped as well.

I have used both Meg's and Poorboy's glazes and they are excellent. Once you use a Glaze (other than Meg's #7), you wipe it off and then apply the LSP on top of a Glaze. At least that is what I have done and the results were fantastic.
