I have buffed the vehicle out and it looks nice, but the vinyl is no longer black or grey or what ever color it is suppose to be !
In the past I have tried many different products and they all seem to work out ok at the time, but in three months it is back to its old faded self !
Have you every used SEM vinyl paint bring the vinyl back ?
Thank you in advance for the reply !

I would just add...

When it comes to exterior plastic trim... there is no such thing as,

One and done

Whatever you use, afterwards there MUST be a plan for regular maintenance. Solution Finish recommends maintaining trim restored with their product with a regular application of a normal plastic dressing.

I like the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant or CarPro PEARL.

The key like anything detailing related is to...

Find something you like and use it often

If this is a customer car, then I recommend you educate them on the above and either have them find something they like and use it regularly or offer to put them on a "Maintenance Program" and regularly take care of their car and their trim for them.

Otherwise, without regular attention, restored plastic trim will sooner or later return to UGLY. And that is the facts Jack when it comes to exterior plastic trim.

Thank you Mike I appreciate your input very much !
I am 71 years old and have done many cars and boats over the years, but there is nothing that I hate more than the cars with all that vinyl trim on it ! Many of my clients and or friends call me and ask me about the fading of the vinyl.
And honestly I do not know what to tell them !
Have a great day and keep up the good work , everyone on this web site appreciates your knowledge and follow through abilities !

I did use the Solution finish on the Avalanche, I prepared it as recommended , hand brushed and cleaned the vinyl, let it get good and dry. The I applied the Solution Finish absolutely amazing what a difference it made ! I did get into some trouble, due to the fact that it was an extremely humid day, it just would not dry, then the next day it rained on it ! It was tacky, but did not rub off on your hands, but it did run down the sides of the truck and bit into the clear coat just a little . I buffed off with a little Finesse it II and it looked really nice. My customer was elated with what a difference it made. I am wondering if I should just leave it alone for a while or give it a second coat ?
Thank you in advance for any reply !
