My girlfriend's daughter came in from Texas for a week last week, and her car was absolutely filthy. The car is a 2013 or 2014 Chevy Cruze in Black Metal Flake. I could only arrange access to the car for part of one day, so I had to pick my battles. The car finish had dog scratches under both rear windows, along with scratches on the trunk deck and roof. There were a couple of serious scratches from minor parking collisions I didn't fool with.
The car had not been washed in ages and was covered in dirt and road grime. Since I knew the car would be getting at least some correction on the whole surface and heavier correction where it was needed most, I decided to spray it down with Iron X prior to washing and letting it dwell for a while. after agitating the Iron X and letting it do its thing, I washed the car with Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Car Wash, did a flood rinse and dried the car.
The car was brought into the garage for a quick blow off with a Master Blaster and to let it warm up a bit, as it was in the 40's when I washed it. I wasn't too concerned with achieving perfection, as I was doing this free and didn't have time to do a 2 step correction on the whole car.

The car was not perfect when I finished, but every time I saw her after the clean up she thanked me. My girlfriend and I tackled the interior together the next day. I started the exterior at 3:15 in the afternoon and didn't finish until after 1 A.M. I did take a break to eat dinner.
