Just did a full detail with my new rupes 21. I used it on my chevelle but it was just a section here or ther. I was bored today and the weather sucked so i went and detailed my brothers 1970 nova. The nova was in great shape it was just painted last spring. All i can say is I love this new rupes 21. Its much better then my old flex. I'm not beat after doing a detail like i was with the flex, i love i don't have to fight the machine and it just a pleasure to use. NOw i need the 3" one. THe pics aren't the best because the sun wasn't out and i took the pics with my phone.

used
wiped down with blackfire waterless wash.
clayed with new nanoskin speedy prep sponge and BFWW
rupes 21
rupes yellow polish pads
meguiars microfiber cutting disc
fg400
topped with BFWD, might put BFMS over don't know yet.

Nice work on a sweet looking Nova!

I used to have a 68 in high school with a 327 and power-glide. I couldn't kill that tranny no matter how many burnouts or neutral drops I did.

Nice looking Nova!

I see it has the early 327 fuelie double hump heads. Which block dose it have?

So you used both pads with the fg400? It finished down lsp ready with the meg mf pads?

ITs a 355. I just used the mf pad with the fg400 on the roof. It had some swirls and scratches i couldn't get out with my optimum spray polish. After using the fg400 on the roof it was lsp ready and was very easy to use. I did forget to add i used the optimum spray polish on the whole car with a rupes yellow pad except the roof.

Forgot to add i used optimum spray polish with the yellow rupes pad. I used the fg400 with the mf pad on the roof. I do love the optimum spray polish its my go to polish now as fg400 is my go to compound.

It was faster but the nova is a garage queen so it really didnt need it.

Why the Rupes over the Flex? Still wondering because I am debating on my next machine.

Thank You

WOW, I love these Nova's and especially when they look like this one!! :props:

Simply gorgeous......:dblthumb2:

The flex was just harder to control. I had it for 8months and it worked great but i just didn't like having to fight with it. I know everyone says keep it flat but its hard sometimes. THe rupes is quieter, smoother and it does the job just as fast if not faster then the flex and its a joy to work with. You don't feel tired after using it like the flex.
