Had a customer contact me awhile back who was a referral from a friend, customer wanted to try and save the paint on his older Subby. Paint would have needed a full correction with a lot of wet sanding and a lot of wet sanding/touch up for some a lot of deep scratches. Customer decided who would just get it repainted and have a fresh start since the paint was already 13 years old. Well he got back in touch with me and wanted me to clean his wifes Tahoe up, as its rarely washed and only waxed 2-3 times since they have owned it brand new.

Customer did not want to spend much and did not think it needed full correction, just wanted it cleaned up and looking good, so it was decided upon my "General Full Detail Package" minus any interior work...so slightly more focus on the paint...as his kids would trash the interior within a week. Plus there was pretty heavy bug damage on the front bumper and a little extra focus was there to try and clean as much of it as possible.

Paint came out REAL well for the one step. Corrected roughly 85-90% of the paint...only leaving minor RIDS.

Process:
Foamed w/ CG CW'n'G
Washed w/ TBM w/ Megs Hyper Wash
Wheels Cleaned w/ Diablo Wheel Gel
Windows w/ Stoners Invisible Glass
Clayed w/ Pinn. Ultra Poly Clay w/ ONR
Front Bumper Clayed w/ Megs Aggressive Clay
Taped
1-Step done w/ GG DA w/ White LC Pad w/ M205
Wiped Down
LSP = Optiseal
Tires = Megs Hyper Dressing 2:1

great work! Rims came out awesome! Didn't even think they could shine like that looking at that 1st pic.

And 85-90% correction with M205 is awesome! Especially for a Chevy. I know my truck it barely did anything with the M205 and an orange pad!

As always your work is beautiful!

As SeaJay said those wheels almost look they were replaced with new ones they look so nice. :wow:
Thank you for sharing the fruits of your labor with all of us.

Yes nice, but You didint take out all swirl marks. I can see on pictures.

he stated in his initial post that the customer didn't want a full correction, so one would assume that the paint isn't going to be swirl-free. It looks a lot better than it did before, nice work!

I was happy with the outcome as well. Since Chevys are notorius for hard clears, this one was rather soft.

Just wish the paint before pictures I had would have come out well, the sun and Brinkman over exposed(or what ever that photography term is) and you could not make out the true condition of the paint. But as stated it was a one step to clean the paint up and it was a pretty hefty difference.

They caught be by surprise as well once I started cleaning them. lol
