As it is now evident that there is, in fact, a linting/shedding problem with the Shamrock m/f towels I will be needing to replace them. What would be your pick as a Shamrock replacement? I was thinking along the lines of the Cobra Super Plush Deluxe 600 Microfiber Towel, 16 x 24 inches

Cobra Miracle Towel, 16 x 24 inches

Cobra Supreme 530 Microfiber Towel

Cobra Gold Plush Microfiber Towel, 16 x 24 inches

Any input would be greatly appreciated
 
Great thread.
There's too much MF...it's soo hard to choose which one to buy.
I wish I could buy them all! :D
 
I just got some 530s to try out as an alternative to the Shamrocks for a plush towel to use with QD and found it to be great. It is still very thick and has densely packed fibers so I felt like it did a good job of catching all the dust that had accumulated on my car.
 
cobra gold plush, i have some and i dont have any problems

knock on wood.
 
Cobra Deluxe Jr. 600 Microfiber Towels. I love these MF they work great and they are BOGO.
 
Out of the ones AG has I like Cobra Miracle or the yellow with black boarder ones....

The Deluxe Jrs are thick, plush, super-soft and no linting. Of the thinner towels the Mango Breeze is a nice towel. No linting... I use 'em as a final step on windows and prefer 'em to the dedicated window MFs.

Both are BOGOs.

I have the both the 530's and the deluxe jr's and I love them both.

If you refer to my other thread Meghan has indicated that I need to have my old version of Shamrocks replaced with the new version 2 shamroks. That would be great except that there seems to be a lot of members on AG still experiencing the same problem with the new version. When I replace these towels I want to make sure that I don't have this problem anymore. It is to frustrating to have a 10 minute QD take 1 to 1 1/2 hours because I am chasing leprechaun dust all over my black Porsche and dk blue Escalade.

I agree they do work really well I have some jr's also. Are the super plush deluxe 600's the same towel as the jr's with the exception of size? As the towel that I choose will be an exchange for my shamrocks I would like these to be the same size as the shamrocks.
 
I Like the 530's - I have not has significant linting with them. I had jome lavender Juniors and they linted to the point of being unusable for LSP. AG took care of switching them out !

remember we're having the same problem? go with the 530s for sure. super plush and have no hairs whatsoever. ive had them for awhile and they still amaze me

I have the Gold Plush and use two Gold Plush XL's for ONR (they're so BIG it's great) and the smaller Gold Plush for buffing after I've removed the wax haze with the blue indigo polishing microfibers (yet still have 7 or so gold plush unused).

The Gold Plush having two different naps (short on one side, very very long on the other) is useful as when performing a QD or ONR wash as you can go back over the dry area and "spot" absorb any liquid that is remaining for some reason (like below the mirrors when you shut the door and some dribbles out).
 
I have to agree the Miracle Towels and the Cobra Gold Plush series all work great. They are also on sale at BOGO.

DF Towels, Alpine Fiber, Made in USA.

I gave up on the Chinese/Korean brands for the lint problems.

You read the hype, but when they arrive, they don't deliver what is promised.

I detail because I'm a perfectionist, so the product has to perform or it's a waste of money for me.
