Ok, I'm interested if there is a sealant for chrome. I've found no posts that indicate this, nor any good hits using Google. All posts dealing with chrome talk about polishes and or wax, which is my current process.

The way sealants work, from my understanding, is that they bond with the paint. So is there anything like this for Chrome? That is chrome on metal, not plastic.

my Hydro2 paint sealant seems to do just fine on my Chrome bumpers. I would think most would.

Try Blackfire Metal Sealant works great on my chrome wheels. Soap and water clean up, no need to use harsh wheel cleaners and water beads like mad.

Thanks for the leads! I'm new to this level of "car washing" and haven't looked at either of these 3 products. I've been using Meg and DP products. Looks like I need to expand my stock.

First:
•Make sure it's chrome plating on metal (not on a plastic)
-Use the old magnet trick.

Next:
•Clean the chrome with either:
-Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Rust Remover
Or:
-Collinite #850 Metal Wax...contains a rust "preventer"

•Follow-up with a quality Sealant like:
-Wolfgang DGPS 3.0

I use CG JetSeal on my chrome, does a kick-ass job. 4 months of maintenance washes, still going strong

Is this a great forum or what!!!

Thanks for all the advice, now I just need to make a selection and I'll have another item for my next order.
