Chrome Clad Cleaning/Preservation ???

I have the chrome clad wheels on my pickup, 4 weeks ago I cleaned them with bug and tar remover, waxed with meguiers cleaner wax, then top with collinite 845. The end results were awesome. Today I washed the truck and discovered the same abrasive crud on them after one snow storm. I spent 2 hours cleaning them and now I am back to step one again. Is there a better to protect them in the future. The offensive crap feels like sand paper.

 
Does anyone have a partial tube that they are willing to sell? or is it even useable after it is initially opened? I would be willing to give it a try. I just don't want to spend $$ on 4 wheels.
I don't mean to sound ignorant but I have zero experience with it.

No selling here but maybe someone will send you a PM. Here is my thought. What about getting Opti-coat for your entire truck then you can have your truck protected and your wheels as well?

I had a Dodge and never cared for those Chrome Clade wheels. As for cleaning and wheel cleaner then you can use a chrome cleaner then protect.

Another option would be wheel wax or wheel glaze. :xyxthumbs:

My intention is not to keep the truck past the end of the year, so I don't see spending $$ to do the entire truck.

Thanks for the links. I didn't know they made such a product. I may give one of those a try. Gotta say I'm kinda skeptical though.
However anything may be better than whats previously been tried, and failed.
