Does anyone know where I can find a chart or something that compares the aggressiveness of the different Clay available here on AG?
I'm looking for one on the aggressive side, we have lots of tree pitch here so looking for one that a bit more aggressive. I have pinnacle now.
Thanks !

I also want to express my interest in a clay chart
Thank you

Umm.....I have a question. Is there a downside to using the most aggressive clay. More likely to scratch? Much harder to use? More costly?

cost is the same. aggressive cleans better, but can scratch/marr softer paints. most of the time, aggressive clay will need to be followed up with polishing

Red clay magic is the most agressive Ive ever used and yes it will mar most paints esp black.Alos use the recommended clay lube for it .

I wouldnt use clay for tree sap, it cam mess up your claybar . Use a tree sap remover designed for that purpose.

plastic razor ftw

So, I rekon for the home hobbyist with just a few family cars to maintain something in the medium to medium-soft range would be appropriate to keep on hand for general purpose claying.

Now, where that chart again?

P.S. I've been using Meguiars claybar but recently bought some PoorBoys just to change things up a bit. I haven't used the Poorboys yet...but soon.

I'm not talking big globs of tree sap, I'm talking bunches of pin head size speckles. Tree sap remover would require a complete wipe down of the car then clay anyway. Clay does the job well and after I'm finished it goes in the trash anyway. I only use about 1/4 of a 200 MG bar. The Pinnacle I'm using is very mild. I have some red from bran "Z" and it works great with no marring. So I'm looking for an equivalent the AG sells. Guess I'll try a couple with this sale .... XMT and Wolfgang maybe ... or poor boys. I'm not looking for anything that is so aggressive it Mars paint.
