i currently have pinnacle ultra and meguiars smooth clay bars what are the differences and impressions of these as well as dp and wolfgang clay bars

I've always used Meg's but now have some Wolfgang, can't wait to try it out although Meg's has always worked great for me.

Same here! Megs clay is great.

I have some mother's clay but havent used it yet. Will use it as a part of pre-CQ prep when I go about it.

Otherwise, before a correction, I use CG clayblock. Its kinda like a very aggressive clay. It takes out stuff which megs clay cant even dent!!!
(but leaves surface marring behind, thats why I use it before a correction!)

I've only used Meguiar's and Mother's OTC clay bars. I prefer Meguiar's but the difference is very minimal. For me, a clay is a clay and I'll buy whatever's cheaper.

:iagree:same here.

A clay bar is a clay bar....the only different is how aggressive it is....I used them all.....there are some products that are all made the same...and this is one.

I used a Meg's clay bar today and I have to say I really like it. I haven't used pinnacle's, but I also used Mother's. So far I like Meg's and Mothers. I just wish the Meg's had more grams to it. I think I got it as a kit awhile ago, but can't remember using it.

Trying Ultima Elastrofoam block tommorrow. I've used mothers and megs and they are okay. Also have some DG clay I am going to try. So far the Ultima Elastrofoam did the windshield on my truck and car in a scant 2 or 3 minutes (recommended to smooth the foam out prior to use). Looking forward to see how it does on paint.

Interesting...Imma have to check that out. Although I like the two I've used so far, I want something alittle more agressive. Let me know how that Ultima works out.

I've noticed Mother's clay and ONR, diluted between quick detail and clay lube strength, do not play nice. It leaves clay residue, but I haven't tried to find the culprit yet. Is it the lube or the clay?. I'll find out Tuesday when I resume detailing my uncle's car.

A good friend of mine sent me some "Modeling Clay" from Canada! Very nice stuff!

I've always wondered about modeling clay. Any way of finding out exactly what he sent, this is the internet, I can get anything sent to me! lol. I also have family in Canada :xyxthumbs:

I far prefer Meguiars clay to Mothers. Mothers to be seems very mild, almost too mild.

Meguiar's or Mothers are the ones I use. I like the option of stopping by a local auto parts store and being able to pick Mothers clay right off the shelf....most of the time...;)

i like which ever one is on BOGO is my preference.

i am still using the DP clay i got when they were on BOGO.
