Can anyone recommend a good way to clean and protect light stitching on leather car seats. I just had Katzkin installed on my 13 Altima and even though I picked Canvas colored piping over stitching because I knew the light stitching would eventually discolor, they still added some on the seats. is 303 Aerospace Protectant a good choice?

Thanks for any suggestions.

i use Connolly Leather Cleaner to clean the leather and the stitching (I have dark red double stitching). After cleaned I apply Connolly Hide Care (the stuff has been used since 1878 on saddles, leather boots, coats etc). Connolly Hide Care has been used on Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar and Mercedes in some of England's high end detailing shops for years. According to Connolly the same moisturizing qualities that preserve the leather also applies to the stitching. When finished there is no sticky residue or high glossy shine like other products.

On some jobs with light stitching i have applied Folex and then work a bit with a soft bristled toothbrush and blot dry. For steering wheels with leather wraps and contrasting stitching colors (lots of M BMW's!) i simply spritz a little on the toothbrush and work it around.
