Clean up painted metal around windows?

So I'm curious as to what product and technique would you use to clean up the painted metal around windows? It appears to be a matte black?

I have a dd that appears to have oil stains on mine but I also have to clean up a friends car that appears to have fine swirl marks in the paint.

I use a 4" MF pad and FG400 or D300 works great.

They should have some kind of clear on then if not go less aggressive.

I have a mazda 3 and i am facing the same thing, it appears to have no clear. It is a matte finish.
