So I am a full time teacher and a part time detailer, my dad called and asked me if I could wash and wax his truck today, for most not a big deal ..... here is the finished product:

Took about four hours and it was only 40 degrees, but he is my Dad so what do you do?

Wow, four hours sounds like you went right through it. Looks great. I love the chrome work. I can't even imagine being able to reach most of it.

Dad must have been pretty happy with the work!

Tall ladders and yeah I was humping, It was pressure washed and then Opti-sealed (2 coats, I am putting the second on in a few)

The truck looks very nice. These trucks have got to take the most abuse of anything on the road. Have you done it before? How long does the Opti-Seal last before needing reapplied?

This is the first time on that one, I try and talk him into letting me get it three times a year, but that is hard to do. On my wife's grandfather's caddy that sits out side on the ocean 24 7 the optiseal was still beading four months later so it is certainly good stuff.

Damn. That is a good looking truck!

My buddy has been begging me to do his day cab Kenworth. I don't know.

Ain't nutin' prettier than a 'long nose' all shined up.

Nice job!

Bill

Yeah if I showed him the soap and wax he would laugh and walk away I think, he cannot keep them up anymore (getting up there) so periodically he calls and gets them done, not as much as he should but oh well. It only took four hours because he did use a pressure washer at a truck stop and got the heavy grime off before so I just used ONR and then sealed with Opti-seal. The spring I will clean it up and polish the stainless tanks, always fun but even with the family discount a good day. I have done a few of his buddies trucks so they pay pretty good as he is a rolling advertisement until it is dirty again.
