hello,

So i just read somewhere that cleaner wax has little bit of cutting power.
and I been using mothers California gold cleaner wax over sealants.

questions is.... if i use cleaner wax over sealant, would it strip off or damage sealant? or should i apply finishing wax over sealant?

also can anyone recommend me a good liquid finishing wax for DA application?

:hungry:

The cleaner wax will remove your sealant.

A finishing wax over the sealant would possibly be okay, however there's a bit of debate on if the solvents in the wax will affect the sealant under it. Some people say do it if you want, others say just use the wax you want to finish with.

You can apply nearly any wax/sealant with a DA.

Pinnacle Sovereign liquid gets good reviews, however I've not used it.

Thank you hollerstiltner for the respond!!!

so many choices, so many different opinions ;;;;
also I see most of detailers charge extra for sealant, does that mean they are applying both sealant and wax? or just using sealant instead of wax?

how do you guys do for business?

and I heard good things about pinnacle sovereign liquid wax, and I believe it is cleaner wax

Pinnacle Souveran Liquid does not contain any cleaners, so therefore it is NOT a cleaner wax. It is a last step wax.

While many people do, there is most likely not much benefit to putting a wax over a sealant. And definitely do not use a cleaner wax over a sealant as the cleaner wax will clean most of the sealant off.

Pick a great sealant, or pick a great wax, thats my recommendation!

If your paint does need to be cleaned and you want to do a two step process, start with a mild polish or non abrasive paint cleaner first.

ahh youre right Jaretr1

it does fall under Hybrid Finishing Waxes/Sealants, not cleaner

well this clears many questions I had,

Thank you guys!!
