Will Zymol Clener Wax remove NXT 2.0?... or do i need a paint cleaner?

This weekend I plan on doing a coat of the Zymol cleaner wax, a coat of Finish Kare 1000p, and a coat of XMT 180. Im not gonna clay since i already did a few weeks ago before i applied the NXT.

Even a hard rain can remove my NXT 2.0 I bet a cleaner wax can easily remove it. But, I am not that sure FK1000p will bond to a cleaner wax willingly. Maybe an acrylic base like Klasse AIO or a pure cleanser will be better for durability.

I've never used Zymol Cleaner/Wax, we're talking about the blue stuff sold by Turtle Wax right?

Regardless, a good cleaner/wax will remove oxidation, road film, minor surface imperfections and if it has the ability to remove these kinds of topical defects it should also effectively remove any previously applied wax or paint sealant while at the same time leaving behind a coating of protection.

I used it years ago. It's cleaning properties were actually pretty good -- so were it's dusting and staining properties. :laughing: It will remove NXT. It actually produced a pretty nice finish, and smelled great. (but man was it dusty, and stained trim). That was ~8 years ago. Maybe they improved the formula?

Are you really going to apply those 3 products -- on the same vehicle? I wouldn't think all 3 would be necessary. Zymol + FK whould be OK -- as long as Zymol cures overnight.

thanks guys. yes im talking about the zymol from turtle wax. i plan on doing the zymol on thurs, FK1000p on Fri and XMT 180 on Sat. Ive been reading about a lot of people layering carnauba over a sealant so thats what im gonna try. Thanks again for your help guys!
