Cleaning glass to apply Rain X

I got some rain x to try but have invisible glass cleaner with rain repellent on the windshield now. How do I clean the glass to apply the rain x?

Polish the windshield with a glass polish.

Or you can try APC and then clay bar.

Clean with 50/50 alcohol,rain x I think changed there formulation it just deosnt last long.I apply one coat out of the sun wait 15 minutes and apply another then wait.Take a very damp micro to ease removal along with a dry cloth seems to last a bit longer this way.
