On my Chev truck I pulled out my turn signal housing and removed the bulbs, I noticed that there is dirt inside the housing, how can I clean that out?

If its loose dirt, putting a vacum to the bulb holder should remove it!

but make sure that there aren't any delicate parts in the turn signal assembly there!!

It's not loose dirt, more like a film on the inside of the lense.

You can try an elongated q-tip, foam brush or something.

I use the things that we use at hospital to clean slides!

Anyways, you can google 'detailing swabs' and you'll get loads of results!

If you have a small brush that bends you can use that. Something like the small daytona wheel brush might work. I'd spray a little bit of APC in there use the brush to agitate and then shop vac the extra liquid out.

Thanks guys. Would alcohol or mineral spirits be ok to use?

Try this:
Take the plastic assembly apart (remove lights, wires, and screws)
put a tablespood or so of DAWN or a really good dish soap, and put it in the holes where the dirt is in.
Fill the lights up with warm water, soak, and agitate after an hour or so.
Then rinse out the housing thouroughly to get rid of all excess soap.:xyxthumbs:
