Hi,

I have a client coming in. He removed clear bra by himself says he has about 25% glue still left from the clear bar on the hood. Can i get this out with correction compound and orange/yellow pad?

appreciate your insight.

You can also try Rapid Remover adhesive remover first. Personally I like chemically removing adhesives because they're sitting on top of the paint. When you hit it with a compound you are then abrading and removing paint along with the adhesive.

Rapid Remover is the way to go. It's designed to disolve glue and it works really well. If the glue is really thick, you might have to use a plastic razor blade to remove it from the paint, it happened to me once. Otherwise, disposable micro fiber towels, might take a few wipes to get all off, it depends on the glue and the quantity. Afterwards a light polish is always a good idea IMO.

I'm also not a fan of compounding adhesive residue. I've done it, but much prefer removing it.

CarPro TarX actually works really well for that. Goof Off industrial strength in the aerosol can works well too, but it can mess you up very badly, very quickly.
