So, today I noticed that I have this small brown spot on my bumper that appears to be a stain in the clear coat (if you zoom in you can see that the metallic flake goes through it). So far I've tried clay, IronX, graffiti remover, and compound and nothing has touched it. Any other ideas or is this just a battle not worth fighting? The paint in the area is completely smooth.

Odd stain on a plastic bumper. If it's under the clear coat, I'd have to suspect contamination during the paint process. Only suggestion I have would be to "scrape" it out and touch up with a paint pen. It's not a perfect solution but it would be less of an eye sore. Good luck. Let us know how everything goes.

Do you have any 3M adhisive remover or tarminator or any of a strong bug and tar remover in your arsenal? I would test with that first. If you see it works a little. Do multible application till it's gone. Or soak a part of a mf towel with it and hold on that spot to get a longer dwell time and a more control application of it.

You could use thinner too which is more effective. Or any petroleum based product. Kerosene is another chemical that works. Even a cleaner wax/AIO that you letting to dwell for a little time before starting to gently polish it and wipe it off.

He's tried IronX and a compound.

The car is a year old and it happened recently so not during the painting process. At work tomorrow I'll try something stronger or try lightly wet sanding it.
