So what's the difference in the water that each of these products produce?

I know that the CR system has a digital indicator that advises of when it's time to change the resin and a wheel/cart rack is available: but what about the actual water quality?
Can you simply walk away from washing your car without drying with either water treatment system?

For my purposes: I'm just washing my 2 cars, so a higher volume unit is not important. Price however is a factor: so +1 for the Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister unit so far..

CRS Spotless is water deionization system and this is the one to get for spot free rinsing. It provides pure, mineral free water and it really works.

With our Clear Inline Hose Filters you get cleaner, softer, better performing water for sure and drying the vehicle after rinisng is still recommended with these.

I am using the in-line filter right now. I thought it would help reduce salt on the car from my softner, it doesn't really help. It kinda sucks the water from the bottom like a straw, completely bypassing the filter.

These systems are so expensive it makes them hard to be cost effective.

WalMart sells an inline filter for "RV Drinking Water" for $17.95. I would be interested to see the water spots with these...?

Save your money, these will not stop water spots.

Water Treatment Systems are expensive. I have the General Ionics Water Treatment System in my home. We payed over $6k for it about 10 years ago. I use this water in my water tank, Nomad and mixing ONR. I never have a problem with water spots. This is the same system that is used by NASA in the space program. Reverse osmosis.Struggled sometime to make that payment, but it was well worth it.Before this I had PUR on my kitchen spout. Pur makes a good system that is not too expensive.
