Did a nice 04 CLK Mercedes today for a client. Wash and clay, then tackled the paint with Meg's #83. The finish looked pretty good but I wanted to get familiar with Menzerna 106FF, so I used that with a polish pad. I used the Festool on rotary mode and it was fast work. WOW! Even the owner commented on the reflection finish...he just was stunned.

After the 106, I topped the finish with a coat of NXT and a finish pad on the Festool.

Here's some quick pics and the owner's wife took some nice sunshine pics that she will e-mail me. I'll post them after I get them.

Interior leather was scrubbed with a horse hair brush and my diswashing liquid + apc + warm water formula. Carpeting was apc + brush and vac.

Now, back to BMW's!

Did I say I really like 106 on Mercedes?....it's really a stunner product.

Merc Looking good and i guess the 106ff is made for that type of paint (i know you know;),

BMW in germany just called me, and they said the same...."he should go back to BMWs" lol

Great work Master Toto, i just love you work

That thing simply glows! Another step toward Independence!

Yep...the 106 is made for Mercedes clear coats and it works as advertised!

This guy is a new client and I found out today, he's a biggie in the Mercedes club, so I'll probably be getting more of the "other" German car biz.

Just gorgeous! I can see why the owner was stunned. That reflection and shine....wow!

Great work Toto, especially since the cermiclear was a match made in heaven for Mercedes paint!

Here is a paste of the response to the "Thank You For Your Business" that I always send following a detail.....pretty nice IMO.

Richard. I should be the one thanking you and cursing you at the same time!! The car looks TOO DAMN GOOD to be taken out..haha Thanks again for detailing the car, My wife thinks I should have you detail hers.. Thanks again, when you post the pics up on photo bucket let me know..

Thanks
John

When I send the mail, I give a brief recommendation for washing and quick detailing. Also, I let the client know that I will follow up in 6 months for a refresher detail.

Outstanding looks on that silver. Must have been a nice change of pace to detail something other than all of those darned BMWs!:);)

Short Vacation AL417: I started on a nasty black metallic BMW 530i that came "detailed"....unreal that someone would even call that detailing.

Toto does this mean you are going full time on your own now?

Sure looks that way Meghan...I'm going to give it a whirl anyway. I also got a call from a customizer today and he wants me to do some high end cars that belong to the Kansas City Chiefs...so word is definitely getting around. Who knows..maybe I'll give up all that glamorous air travel (yea, right!) for a full time detail shot. Quite frankly, I'm tired of all the travel/hotels/etc I've done for over 30 years.

Except...I am coming to the next Detail Fest! I might even bring my rotary LOL.

Toto

Congrats on the detail and the new full time business adventure! Best of Luck! Sounds like you are off to a great start with networking.
