my brother just called me that he wants his interior cleaned cause he found out his two young girls have lice. They are neat freaks so he wants it totally cleaned. They have cloth seats and then the car seats are cloth. Any suggestions on what I can use to clean them and possibly kill any lice that are on the surface. I have a steamer so I figured I would start off with that. Any ideas what products to use?

I would tell them to spray down the entire interior of the car with a lice killing spray that can be found at local pharmacies at least a day before they drop it off to you. Most of these take 24 hours to work entirely.

Then you can go about the detail as usual.

Steam will kill bed bugs, so no reason why it wouldn't kill lice.

Trust me here.... You need to use *something* with permethrin in it - around 1/2% is good.

Both Rid & Nix make products like this for "furniture" that kill lice & the eggs.

I should be able to find something like that at cvs right?
