Coating for PVD Wheels?

For the past 4 years I have been using cleaner wax to polish the PVD chrome wheels on my wife's Ford Edge, followed by 845 and occasional Meguiars D156 as a drying aid. I am looking for more durability and ease of cleaning, so I am planning to coat these wheels and also the PVD wheels on my 2016 Ram.

For those of you that have used a coating on PVD wheels, were you happy with the results? I have used coatings on other wheels and been very happy with the outcome, but have not coated PVD.

I have DP wheel coating, Opti-coat 2.0, Optimum Gloss-coat, Wolfgang Uber Ceramic, and Carpro Dlux on hand. Which should I use?
 
Since you have a specific wheel coating why not use that and see how it goes:idea:
 
I put Dlux on mine and love it. stays clean alot longer and easy to clean when they do get dirty
 
I coated my PVD wheels last fall with DP wheel coating. It held up great over the winter and is still going strong! I have Dlux and Opti-Gloss also, but have not tried either yet on wheels.

I think you'll be fine going with the DP/McKee's wheel coating!

I wasn't sure if the wheel coating would last/bond as well on the PVD surface. With the work that it takes to prep the wheels I want it to last. Just trying to make an informed decision.

Thanks for the reply. Did you notice any darkening of the chrome appearance due to the Dlux?

Good to hear! Sounds like I can't go wrong with any of the coatings. Maybe I will experiment by trying the DP on one set and a different coating on the other.
