2023 Acadia. Dark blue metallic. 10k miles a year. Garage kept. Currently has meguiars hybrid ceramic spray coating on it. Looking for a good balance of ease of use, depth, and durability. Suggestions? Thinking of some of the gyeon coatings, new meguiars coating, as well as some not sold here.

thanks. ☺️

Full coating Gyeon’s seem to rate well. CanCoat a nice, easy to use coating lite.

I'm really a fan of the Gyeon products right now. Mohs EVO is very easy to apply though Pure EVO might look better on dark blue. Will this be your first coating application of this type? If so, my vote would be for Mohs.

CarPro CQ UK is always an option too. Application is more like Pure EVO. I think Pure EVO looks better, but CQUK is a little more durable.

Gyeon Pure Evo. So good. If you care a little less about depth of gloss, and want a little more slickness, water behavior and chemical resistance, MoHS seems to be a touch better.

I'm in the Mohs camp. I like it so much I polished off my old coating just to put Mohs on my car.

Another vote for Mohs EVO here, it's a stout coating that doesn't require a topcoat. Don't let it sit for too long after applying it and it should be smooth sailing the whole way and very slick.

Still check in on your channel every now and then. Appreciated your videos. Hope life is good…

After much research, I decided on PURE. However, I noticed that it was strangely missing from Autogeek's website? Does anyone know why?

Their inventory tends to be a mystery these days. I'd looks for it elsewhere.

Check out armour detail supply quartz. I personally like it much better than pure.

What do you like better about it? The application process?

Everything to be honest. Easier wipeoff. Coating is very slick. Unlike pure which is not slick at all

How does it look? How is the water behavior?

From the sounds of your comments you'd be happier with Mohs in the Gyeon lineup, but it is a glassier look that Pure.

Ive used mohs evo over a handful of times. Its a nice coating, very easy to apply. Glassy look. But in my experience it just did not have the durability. I got a year outta it on my daily.

ADS quartz water behaviour is like mohs evo. Also gives that glassy reflective look. Very slick coating.

I still keep mohs evo on the shelf. But if i or a customer wants durability then it gets ADS quartz

When it comes to true high concentration ceramic coatings sold at high prices and low liquid volumes, can you boost them with any random low concentration ceramic spray coating, like a 16 oz spray bottle of ceramic from Mothers, or Turtle Wax, etc, or should one not mix brands?

Not really, maybe a topper might last a week or something. A stronger product like cure or reload might do better, but it's just a band aid until you can polish and coat the car again in my experience. Might have better luck with something like can coat. But for $50, I'd rather just apply a new coating. You might be better off deconn'ing (ironX) the area or entire car and see the coating's properties return.

My method to "boost" areas that are starting to sheet, is to use a touchless spray (nanoskin supercharger, similar to wetcoat/hydro2), but I'm only doing that now, at 15 months on my Gyeon Evo Pure coating that I don't even think I prepped the surface perfectly well for last year. I expect to go 18 months next time with my improved wash methods and better prep products.

Armour Detail Supply Quartz gets my vote. Better overall performance and looks over anything CarPro, Gtechniq or Gyeon.

How about Armor Detail supply Pro Quartz?

Necessary?
Or, is ads Quartz almost as good?

Any assistance will be appraciated

Just noticed this comment. Interesting you got such short life from Mohs EVO. On my wife's car that sees over 20K miles a year and is only garaged at night, we've gone 14 months so far and it still behaves like new. I wonder what the difference is?

I don't believe anyone on here has gone through the ADS vetting process to get access to their "Pro" coating. If not maybe you could be the first and report back!
