Cobra bone wash sponge

I use and like them, its my go to for the wife's DD.
 
haven't used this particular one (but one that is slightly less thick), but this style of wash media works great for rinseless washes IME...

Yes it does! Even has the open ended fibers. Just swipe over your grit guard and keep going!
 
I've been using it for years with the 1-2BM and RW's. Works well due to its mf over sponge construction. You do have to machine wash it when done using a mf detergent to get it clean if soiled. AG has been selling the bone for a long, long time.

so how do you use the bone for rinseless? what are your techniques? i have a similar MF sponge sitting on some cabinet, and i am wondering how can i use it for rinseless washes.

Do you do a "rolling swipe" like in a waterless wash? do you go back and forth like in normal washing, but with little to no pressure?

I bought "the Bone" and didn't like it at all for rinseless. First, it holds too much solution, so it's too sloppy to do indoors. Second, it just wasn't flexible enough for me to follow contours without a lot of pressure. I've since gone to Meguiar's MF mitts and am very happy with them, even though I don't put a hand inside.

Did you try wringing it out a little?

I use the Lake Country wash wedge. Lake Country Wash Wedge

I bought it on a whim when I needed to fill an order to get free shipping. It holds a lot of water/shampoo and seems to do a great job. I don't like using mitts, mainly because they are a pain to dry out and I don't like having them over my wrist. I prefer a broom-style boar's hair brush or this wash wedge. This bone wash looks intriguing. Probably order it the next time I need to fill out for free shipping.
 
I've been using the BRS (optimum big red sponge) for rinseless wash and I have no complaints. Use it with WG uber rinseless wash. I still prefer a normal wash with mitts but when the car isn't very dirty rinseless with BRS works well for me.

Of course, but I never could find the "sweet spot" where there was enough liquid dispensed on the surface without excessive drips and runs on vertical panels. After a few tries, I just went back to my MF mitts and saved the bone for use with sudsy soap only.
