should i be happy or upset that the microfiber kit i ordered (cm-920) contained two 16x24 gold plush towels (320gram) instead of the two supreme 530 that it showed?

If they advertised a certain product...that is what you should get regardless if what you received will work "good" enough.

I'd be rather puzzled with the substitution, and would definitely call Customer Service to unravel this cloth-conundrum...posthaste.

i did after i went back and double checked. i'm not one to make a fuss so i just let them know they may need to check their stock and/or description. not gonna make a huge deal over 4 dollars in difference of towels, but i was looking forward to getting a few of the supremes as i got some of them for my brother a while ago and they felt pretty nice.

i'm sure they'll either have me send the box back or credit me or something, not a huge deal though, was just wondering if there was a huge difference in the quality of the two towels considering one is 320g and the other is 530g

Don't get me wrong...
I do not think it's the quality of the different towels that is in question...

IMO: It's the "matching the towel with the detailing task":
with the difference in the Density (grams per square meter) of microfiber towels often being the determining factor in task-matching.

The rule of thumb is that as the density of a microfiber towel increases, so does its thickness, weight and number of fibers. The larger the number of microfibers in a towel, the better it absorbs and cleans.

Hopefully the microfiber towels you received will perform the detailing tasks you had expected to do with them.

i have no doubt they will be fine. the ones i've been using have been slightly less plush than the purple cobra jr towels, and they have always done great for me. i got these so i could do some testing.

just wanted to say in case anyone sees this thread later.

nick solved the case and did a one up on it as well because of the mixup.

AGs awesome service comes through again. all is well!

The 530s are absolute work horses. I've never found a towel quite like them or the 600s. They are DENSE towels.

The Golds are nice - but they ain't no 530s.

i agree, i used the golds and the purple jrs and the 530s. i think the 530s are best by far. the golds feel "fluffier" but it just seems like they want to grab onto everything. they make a good qd cloth though as long as the paint is coated nicely.
