Hi. I am thinking of using collinite 476 on my black car.
I have heard that it lasts for up to 12 months....
If I use autoglym srp, followed by poorboys black hole, and then apply the collinite wax, would the wax be able to protect the poorboys glaze and the srp?
My car has some light marks on it which is why I am wanting to use the srp.....
Thanks

I use it but i think 1 year is too much... I've heard that some people apply 2 or 3 layers and in that case it lasts 1 year. I apply only 1 layer and it lasts 4 months depending on the maintenance that is made, but with time there are some areas that start to lose some beading effect. Another thing that you can do to extend the duration is to apply spray wax after each maintenance wash (I've heard also that products like reload from car pro do the same with more effectiveness)

Thanks. I currently use turtle wax and the light scratches seem to come back after a week or so.....
With collinite, would it take longer for the scratches to come back?

If you want to mask the scratches you better use something like a glaze...before the wax

Tough to beat 476. Just spread it thin and avoid sunlight.

That is what PB black hole is (a glaze)

would the wax be able to protect
the poorboys glaze and the srp?
Good question! :props:

•Even though I've never used this
combination of products (quite the
diverse selection :dblthumb2:)...

-I'll will say that it's an epistemic
probability that the Collinite #476
will be able to "protect" the under-
lying products, as well as the top
layer of the vehicle's paint-system.

Then again: It may depend
on how you define "protect".

I would wash, decon, polish and apply 2x's #476 and call it a day. IMO if you wash the car properly after all this 1 year is well within your reach, this is really a great product, no need for all those other products, trust me/us!

It will not last a year, especially on black.. In summer I see about 3 1/2 months from 476. I have used poorboys black hole under 476 and the swirls didnt come back until about 2 months later.

Use Prima Amigo underneath as your glaze and the 476s won't be compromised, but you're still going to have to reapply both in 4-6 months. You'll need to polish the car and remove the marring/scratches for them to stay away for good

Thanks. What about the marks and scratches etc? Would they also not come back for around 2 months or for however long the collinite lasts?
