Just got in my first ever AG order and am I psyched! Only bummer was that $200 worth of stuff fit into 1 box! Anyways, everything was super nicely packaged, whoever packed this did an awesome job. Delivery was quick and accurate and was definitely a good experience.

The only issue was the state of my collinite 845 wax. I understand that this wax tends to set up very thick when not at room temp, and sometimes it needs to be even higher to be in a real liquid state. But, when I squeeze the bottle, I can hear crystalline structures breaking, almost like if you squeezed a cup of half-thawed italian ice lol. Sorry if that makes no sense, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Now, I do live in CT and the package was out all day on the delivery truck and then on my front steps for a couple hours, so that could have something to do with it, I'm not sure how the products that someone buys from AG are stored.

My question is, is the wax harmed at all, or will it melt and be good to use? I don't care about getting a new bottle if this one has not been negatively affected, I just thought it was bizarre that my bottle of liquid wax was frozen lol

Anyways, thanks AG for a great job otherwise!

put it into a med hot water bath for 15 min then shake it up. Should be the consistency of milk. If not, then you have a problem...

Mine was completely solid even after sitting at room temperature for a few days! Like embolism said, just shake it up and you should be fine. I did it without the hot water bath, took about 5 minutes.

Got mine like that too. Does yours say paste wax on the top in small letters?

Dude, that's the bottle making those noises, not the 845. Open the top, push the plug of wax out of the neck down into the bottle with a (clean) screwdriver, and shake the heck out of it until it liquifies (or do the warm water trick). Once you turn it to a liquid it should stay that way.

Dont be concerned with it, mine was the same way, just let it sit in hot water for about 5 minutes and shake it up...you are good to go. Remember this wax is tough as they come, cant imagine anything that could ruin it.

As others have said...shake shake shake and if you're bottle is cold, warm it with warm water first.

I shook mine for 5 minutes and it stayed the same, kept shaking for another minute and it was the viscosity of milk.

oh and make sure you always have your finger over the cap when shaking..seems the caps on these things go bad after a while and they will just fly off..i know mine doesnt lock anymore..if I shake it without holding my finger over it. the cap it might fly off.

Haha ok, so I'm just a noob, good to know. Thanks everyone for straightening that up for me.

Dude, I'm a chick :props:

Collinite 845 has to be "the" most temperature sensitive wax I've ever used. Not that it effects the product or its performance, it just takes a few minutes to get it to the consistency we need.

Additionally, I've left the wax in the sun on a hot day and had it turn to a liquid! Putting it in the shade fixes this or just put it in a pan of cool water and let it solidify.

So I shook the crap out of it for 5 minutes and it has the consistancy of heavy cream so I think its fine, I was just nervous because I've never seen a wax do that before lol. Thx for indulging my noobness guys
