I signed onto the collinite bandwagon as i will be using marine 31 gelcoat color gloss restor with a purple wool pad on my mille then i was going to follow up with the 925. Can i use a red or black ccs pad to spread this on a da....or stick to the recommended mr miyagi method?

First thing I would do would be a Test Spot.

I'd make sure the products, tools, pads and process works exactly like you hope and dream about before buffing out the entire boat.

I would find a way to machine apply everything in life except for ceramic coatings and Meguiar's #7

:)

There you go Brian! The man himself answering your question.

I agree to machine spread Collinite 925. So much easier!

Well!!! success on cleaning this glastron 19' boat up on sunday. mid 2000s, very rough shape as some of the pictures will show you.

Started a 9 am and went till 8 along with your typical sunday brakes (i spent 1.5 hrs washing the boat and trailer sat night, along with my test spots.).

I used my rupes mille with purple wool pads for the heavy cutting and the gg6 with purple wool on the small spots.

I used white ccs with the gel coat color restore and finally a black ccs pad to spread the collinite wax around.

She pops!

Hey guys thanks alot!! working with the mille for that long it felt like my third arm haha. that tool is fantastic. I'll be working with marine 31 polish and then #925 again tonight on a 19' that should be a breeze to complete.

Wow what a difference. Working on boats can be very gratifying because there's always such a huge improvement. They are just so exhausting.

How did you like Collinite 925? Was it everything you had hoped for?
