What do you guys think of combining the two? For example, you spray a section with the waterless wash, and then go over that same section with a rinseless wash such as DP or ONR. Any advantages or drawbacks?

The biggest drawback would be the waste of money. Oh and time. There's no need to use both. Both products have their uses.... together is not one of them.

I just thought that combining the two would possibly serve as a way of further reducing the possibility of inducing swirls into the paint.

I understand that. Both products are designed to, and work very well at, not inducing scratches and swirl marks.

Here's a recent video added to the Autogeek.net Youtube channel.

I haven't watched it but I'm guessing it's pretty relevant.

Yeah, I know..........it's just that I'm always looking for ways to reduce the possibility.

mcpp66 - You and I think a lot alike in this regard. Most of the pros don't mix many products together. On one hand you could be dimishing the quality of each product. Combined together (besides wasting money) might end up in ONE not so good product where as you began with two great products by themselves.

IMO - Having ONR QD as a pre-spray to an ONR wash is fine as an extra precautionary step. Nothin wrong with sampling mixed up products though. I mix a few ounces of spray wax with a good QD and get some good results. I've mix a strong polish with an AIO a couple times and once it worked good and once it was a waste (different products).

I have some DP waterless wash expected today and I can't wait to try it. My car is only a little dirty right now so it's perfect for the first test.

That's a good thought........I could just mix an ONR QD and use that in conjunction with a rinseless wash. By the way, DP Waterless Wash is GREAT stuff!

I agree. The lubricity of DP wateless blew me away. It's a great product! I encourage everyone to give it a try.

IMO the more you touch the paint the more chance you will have to scratch it. Just my .02...

I don't think there's any arguing that.........which is why I'm always looking for ways to reduce that possibility.

I love this stuff and am sure you will too! I use it on the dirtier parts ,especially the tailgate of the SUV before using QD or Spray wax. I always follow up with QD or SW to add gloss. When in doubt I default to ONR or DPWW.
