I got an order from CG the other day and it had a leather cleaner conditioner as a sample. I tried it on my leather couch and I was sold. I'm sure it isn't the best product, but something is better than nothing as far as protecting and cleaning the couch. Now I am going to buy the full size product.

I agree but sometimes a free sample is not enough to truly test a product. I wish more companies offered 1-2oz size products (reasonable price) to test a product before buying a larger size. AG has some of these, I just wish there were more.

Agree..when I was starting out, the AG samples were a huge help as was the trading thread. Probably a pain for manufacturers to handle, but can definitely get me to try a product I wouldn't buy in a larger bottle.

There is a samples thread around here somewhere that you can get sample sizes from members!

There is a trading thread?!?!?!? Somebody help me get rid of my CG v36! Lol

you can add some samples to you next AG order or if you quaily can get a free sample.

Unfortunately free samples are only going to bias the market. Small companies with expensive (their cost to the company) products cannot give away the way big companies with cheaper (cost to them, which rarely translates to the price you pay).

Basically free samples are a way some companies use to buy market share. Great for them but does little to progress the state of detailing tech.

It's a generalization that doesn't apply in every single case, but I agree wholeheartedly.

Can I get a sample of Synergy?
Seriously though, as I stare at my "collection" of detailing products, it has often crossed my mind that the amount of samples that I have have cost PBMG a decent penny to produce. Yes, they have lured me in with offering samples, and sometimes, I make sure to hit the $95 mark just to make sure I can get a sample. But, I have to say, there are no shortage of samples, you just need to know where to look.
Furthermore, I would say that the sample line could use a shake-down.

I agree, AG needs to broaden their samples of their house brands. They used to have WG 3.0 Sealant, where did that go? How about BF Wet Diamond sample?

Could you give specific examples of product types and desired sizes you'd be looking for? Applies to all

To be honest, haven't used CG v36. I bought it at the very beginning of starting my hobby. I have m205 now and I feel like v36 is redundant. You hear a lot more praises for m205 so id rather just use that.
