is there a chart for comparing abrasiveness of various compounds and polishes?

thanks for the info, its very helpful. do u think wg 3.0 finishing glaze will remove fine swirls on a new car with a da polisher and either orange or white pads?

I have been using it a lot lately and its been doing an amazing job on light swirls. I also like the fact that it dusts very little and its really easy to remove.

thanks for the reply, i am afraid of using the wg 3.0 swirl remover on light swirls, as dont want to be too agressive on a new car.

Don't be, its really not a very aggressive product and leaves a great finish.

Interesting and helpful chart. A couple of questions:

1) I note that Megs' M82 and M81 are both given the same cut rating. I would have thought that M81 would have been listed alongside M07, with a rating of 1.

2) I note that Megs' M09 is given a cut rating of 3, along with M205 and M80. I thought it was less abrasive than the other two polishes, perhaps deserving a rating of 2.

But I don't know nuttin'. Just raising a couple of queries.

Also, it would be nice to have Ultimate Compound and SwirlX added to the list.

IMO, the chart was created by AGO to establish comparison among products and brands. :) In this light, i would assume most are an estimate.

Question about Poorboys looking at the comparo chart...

Is it accurate that SSR1 has less cut than Poorboy's Professional Polish?

This polish is as aggressive as the pad you use it on. Use a light pad. It really does give amazing results. Follow up with WGFG with a lighter pad for a KILLER finish.
