I need some input on how to put together detail packages. I've been browsing auto detailing sites and there are a lot of various packages from "Express Detail", "Exterior Only" details, "Multi-step Paint Correction", etc. I think I'm over thinking this but I want to make my packages so it's not complicated to my potential customers but also profitable at the same time. I already have some in mind:

Basic Exterior and Interior "Express": Exterior wash and dry, wheels washed and dried, tires degreased and dressed, spray wax exterior, windows cleaned in and out, interior vacuuming and wipe down.

Exterior only: Deep clean wheels, tires and Wheel wells, tires dressed, exterior foam wash and dry, surface decontamination, one step polish, paint sealant/wax, exterior trim dressed, windows cleaned (outside only), engine cleaning.

Interior only: thorough vacuuming, interior wipe down, steam clean, carpet and ulpholstery shampooing and spot stain removal, hot water extracting, windows cleaned

Full Detail: Exterior and interior only details put together

New car/trade in/forsale: Exterior foam wash and dry, wheels cleaned and sealed, wheel wells degreased and dressed, tires degreased and dresses, exterior trims dressed, surface decontamination, one step fine polishing, paint and glass sealant, one coat wx, interior vacuuming and wipe down, interior hard surface UV protectant, engine detail, carpet spot stain removal

Maintenance detail: what would you guys recommend for this one and how frequent? This is assuming client has done a surface decontamination and polish/sealant already.

Other services I'm incorporating:
Headlight restoration
Water spot treatment on windows
Wheel polishing and sealing
Paint correction

Thank you in advance!

I kind of stopped trying to specify every little thing as I don't believe anyone is actually going to want to sit and read ...... most look for a quick description and go straight to pricing.

Take a look at my site and you'll get an idea of how I put things together. Services and Additional Services.

Let me know if it helps at all.

Be very careful when labeling a package as a "Full Detail". They will expect everything under the sun. Educate your customer and set expectations as to what various packages do NOT include, and up-sell those. :props:

Ask the customer what their expectations are and what their budget may be. Ask the customer what they want the focus of the detail to be.
Many times they'll be very happy with the results even if it wasn't the full blown deal.
