Convertible Top Care

Well, that is just a cleaner. I've found Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner to work great at cleaning convertible tops. I used it on a Corvette convertible top that I thought was brown - turns out it was tan. After that you could probably follow up with something like 303 High Tech Fabric Guard.

Cool. I was wondering if a 4:1 APC would be good. You're so good you answered a question I only thought of LOL.

I think I used APC at a 10:1 dilution ratio. I had both 4:1 and 10:1 ratios but didn't find a need to use 4:1. I used a brush like this:

(Note: not my pic - I borrowed it from a member on Meguiar's Online). You can pick up a brush like that for less than $3 at Wal-Mart in the cleaning area (I think by dish soaps). Anyway, using APC with that brush took out about 99% of the dirt and grime. Looked 10 times better afterward. :xyxthumbs:

Found these vids about 303 Fabric Guard:

I used to use Raggtopp cleaner and protectant for about 2 years but I switched to 303 Fabric Guard and find that much better. Better durability, easier to use, and looks great.

I got about 5 months of durability out of one coat and it was still protecting when I applied another layer.

Good God look at that bead. I will be looking into this stuff. Thanks guys.

Ragtopp or 303, those are the best choices. For best results allow the roof to dry fully prior to using the protectant. Dont add while wet or damp.
