Cost to repair scratch?

I have a small but deep scratch on my hood, would anyone know about how much a body shop would charge me, it's about 3/8 inch long and about 1/16 inch wide, down to the metal.

So, I answered what I'd do with that scratch in your other thread. Here's the problem. With that heavy metallic flake and right next to an adjacent panel, to do the repair properly the body shop will have to blend the adjacent panel meaning new paint will get blown onto the "ok" panel and then cleared over. Lot of money involved in that repair. I guess it depends on what the car is and what it's worth to you.

A good shop will paint an entire hood for $300.00 average.

Less for less quality, more for more quality.
