Stopped by costco today and noticed they had a $50 instant rebate that brought the price down to $550 on their smart tools 2000i generator with a yamaha engine. Wondering if anyone on here has used this generator? I've been eyeing for a while. Looks comparable to the honda eu2000i

Link on website available?

about to pull the trigger on a Honda eu2000

but at a grand.

This has struck my immediate attention

I've owned a lot of non-commercial generators and the only ones worth a toss are Honda powered. If it's from Costco it doesn't matter. If it ever craps out on you just take it back.

Thats what i figured, their return policy is excellent. If you look on amazon for smart tools 2000 its the only one that comes up. Its $860 shipped there I believe. Ill look for costco online

Found it at Home Depot for $715

But this is a Killer price.. Plus w/ Costco return policy It's a smart Purchase

Since you're obviously doing mobile detailing I'd do a little research on how loud that generator is! I just got done mounting all my equipment in my trailer and after doing a lot of research I ended up with two Honda EU2000i generators and a 40 dollar coupler for joining them! That way you get about 3300 total watts if coupled! The reason I went with this option is because the Honda 3000 was the same price as two 2000's...this way for the cost of the 40 dollar coupler I get a total of 3300 combined or 4000 total separate! IMO I would not go cheap on your generator! These Hondas are awesome!

Good idea plus if one does go down you have a back up. One EU2000i will run just about anything one at a time. Costco's return policy is pretty darn good. Just wonder if they would take back a broken generator after 2 years? After that timeframe they most likely will be selling another model.

:iagree:I agree Honda generators rule and yes they are expensive but worth it.
