Would it be okay to use cotton pads to apply opti-lens to my plastic light covers and to use cotton pads to apply carpro cquartz dlux to my plastic and rubber trim?

I think I would get better control and finesse with cotton pads rather than the large bulky towels and pads.

For opti lens I've found that using an applicator pad. If you can find a smaller one than the original than even better.

but for Opti Lens:

Yellow Foam Pad
Wrap it in plastic
Blue Shop Towels
then tape to hold in place. I really like that method. I got the idea from VermontAutoDetailing btw.

I'd imagine the same method would work with a smaller application pad or even a brush. The ones that they sell at Michael's arts and crafts store comes to mind

Would probably work for DLux too

what are they using here? cotton pad?

For DLUX, I've been using latex-free foam makeup applicators. They are readily available at places like Target or CVS. Super cheap and they provide a nice even application. They also don't fall apart like the cotton or cloth based applicators that come in the DLUX kit.

A word of advice...if you want to avoid some odd looks, have your wife pick them up for you. I learned the hard way.

Made this FRSstyle. I did try and give credit to Vermont Auto Detailing who is gave me the idea to make my own. So I hope I did it right because I don't want to try to take credit for something I didn't think of on my own.

Also I am not sure why it came out small maybe someone knows how to resize it?
